The guitar was ready to play right out of the box, no need to tweak it with a professional setup. It did require a minor string height adjustment a week or so later due to temperature and humidity changes, but this was easily accomplished by raising the action slightly at the bridge utilizing the tiny allen wrench included with the guitar. The maple neck is fast and smooth - feels like melted butter, the intonation is right on target, and the 5 way pick-up switch provides a variety of tonal qualities to accommodate styles from Rock to Blues and Jazz. I am a serious hobbyist and bought this guitar to add to a small collection. I am delighted with it and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a guitar with the renowned qualities of a Fender Stratocaster, but at a much more affordable price.
