(More customer reviews)Ok, pound for pound, one of the best basses EVER. Been through Carvin, Traben, Fender, Schecter, Rouge, First Act, Ibanez, Warwick, basically the high and low end and the D6 is a beast.
For a 6 string, neck-thru, active pickup mahogany body guitar, this is a steal. Sounds great, plays smoothly, perfect for all types of music. Only downside is the MASSIVE weight. I have not done any tweaking as far as the setup goes. I changed pickups (simply because the preamp got soaked in water and went out) had it not been for that accident, stock pickups would have remained. Used it to record all the bass lines for my band's EP [...] That is just a small sample of what the bass can do.
