(More customer reviews)Though I am generally a neck through guy, and owned a neck through Spector EuroBass LX-which I LOVED, I was forced to sell it. This NS2 aj-r is an outstanding bass and surprised me. It is extremely well made, and though it needed minor setup tweaks, it is a gorgeous bass. The hand filed precision brass nut, Badass bridge, Schaller tuners, and EMG active tone circuit give this bass all the tone one would need. Though I generally do not like bolt ons. the deep set neck tenon on this make for intense tone transfer. There IS SLIGHTLY more body resonance with the EuroBass LX, this is still a thundering bass. It even came with PERFECTLY wrapped Rotosounds-5 winds to each peg. There is no place one can fault this bass, as every single upgrade is already in it. I don't give many guitars or basses a 5 star review, but this bass has earned it. Pounding out Sober by Tool, or Gonna Raise Hell by Cheap Trick...no problem...dialing in some Jack Bruce tones...no problem...wanna go extra low, and drop D this bad boy? DO IT! The brass nut and Badass bridge keep the tone dialed in and the intonation is dead nuts on the mark. Wanna slap and hook? This one will hit the growl, or the smooth fat ringing bass notes. You decide. This bass is the best thing since sliced bread. By the way, my bass is in natural finish, and was signed by the Metal Goddess Lita Ford, PJ Harvey and her drummer...yeah, it IS THAT SWEET.
