(More customer reviews)The first thing I noticed about this (besides the striking wood work) is how shockingly light this is. Very resonant, the body is surprising comfortable and light. The neck is the heaviest thing on this bass, luckily it is extremely well balanced so you wont experience any "gibson head drop". This stays in place!
The pickups/electronics are great and provide a nice wide range of tone punch and pop, to warm and jazzy... The active three band eq seems to be set to the right sweeps for this instrument.
The neck is also excellent. It's wide and thin. This makes for an easy transition to 5 string from 4 as well as some great action and playability. I've been really enjoying playing this bass and surprised at the value.
