(More customer reviews)I originally was looking for a decent inexpensive 12 string guitar that I could knock around with and saw the Recording King on Amazon. When I purchased it, it had a rave review about how for the price it had a solid spruce top (one thing that sold me) and decent workmanship. After I got the guitar via Amazon, I tuned it up and started to play. I realzed that the action was too low and the frets were anything but dressed, scraping my hands as I wandered up and down the neck. I took the strings off and decided to place a small shim under the saddle to raise the action a bit so that the strings on and above the 12th fret wouldn't buzz (which didn't do the job, neither did adjusting the truss bar). When I did this the nut came off, it was never glued to the neck! Just this past week I noticed that the bridge was pulling off of the top, even though I kept the strings slack when not in use. I once again checked the review on Amazon and found that a good review turned into a one star review and a cavaet about purchasing this instrument. As a fan of Recording King Guitars on Facebook, I shot them a short note and was told that it looked like I had a warranty issue and that I should contact Customer Service, which I did. They have not yet contacted me back even with the assurance from their Facebook administrator that they would. I also found online another instance of this incompenence where someone shipped the "bad" 12 string to Recording King for warannty work and they sent it back to the owner and told them to send it back to Amazon, which they did and were told that it was over 30 days so they were basically out of luck. DON'T BUY THIS GUITAR. Get an Epiphone, Fender, Ibanez, Ovation or a wind-up plastic toy guitar instead, you will be happier in the long run.
