(More customer reviews)I needed an acoustic-electric uke for gigs and love the Lanikai brand. I stumbled on this at a good price. My Taylor guitar is an Ovangkol-Spruce combination and it's got amazing tone and balance. I figured I couldn't go wrong with this uke and I was right.
Beatifully made, great tone and feel. Very happy with my purchase, it's hard to put down. Performed wonderfully at its first gig.
I let a student play it during his lessons with me - he fell in love and the next day was asking about the details so he could buy one also!
I DID NOT, however, have luck with the hardshell case that is supposed to fit this instrument (bought seperately). I will have to return it, it is much too short.
