Pretty reasonably priced tube amp by a fairly new company. Can be used for at home practice and playing shows. It has two channels: clean and distortion, 3 Brand EQ, and effects loop.
The clean channel is amazing! Everything comes out nice a clear with lots of punch. Just plugging into the clean channel you can get any sound you can think of jazz, country, folk, rock whatever (I find it get U2/ The Edge sounds really well). The 3 brand EQ and tone knob will let you get exactly where you want to be with the clean sound.
The distorted channel is not the best, but its ok. Well let me clarify. This is not a "high gain" amplifier, which basically means you will not sound like Rammstein with just the gain on the amp. In the spectrum of guitar distortion you can go from a simple blues crunch to like 70's metal (think early Van Halen and Rhandy Roads) and everything in between. Now you can supplement with your own distortion or EQ pedals which I highly recommend if you want bigger badder distortion.
The clean channel works great with pedals, especially with time effects like delays or phasers. The distortion channel not so great with pedals. The sounds kinda of fight each other and it just doesn't sound great. Now in addition to the two channels there is an effects loop (FX Loop) which is fantastic. I run few pedals right into the amp on the clean channel and keep a few in the FX loop so I don"t have the signal going through like 40 pedals at a time.
So I would recommend using the clean channel with some kind of distortion pedal to get a really cool distortion and use the effects loop for your other pedals and stuff.
Overall a very simple and effect amp that doesn't cost a fortune. lets you get very specific sounds between the tone knob and the ISF knob (look it up cause its to much to explain). Can be played at home at low volume well and has enough horse power to play with a band at reasonable sized venues (provided you have a speaker cabinet of course).
Good for beginners up to semi professional musicians.
