However after using it at a moderate-volume gig, it totally crapped out - the preamp appeared to fry itself and the unit became unusable meaning I had to run my bass through the PA system for the rest of the night. In my 30 years of playing, I've never had a bass amp just give out on me before, particularly one that was less than a month old. David Eden should be ashamed of having his name associated with such a piece of crap. Fortunately I purchased through Amazon.com and utilized their excellent return policy. I would not recommend this amp to anyone, pro or student, as there are MANY other choices in this price range.
