I have a few amps, a carvin legacy, an orange dual terror and a pico valve to name a few. I prefer only tube amps.
i was looking for a low cost tube amp with an effects loop. But finding a small one to keep in my livingrooms entertainment center was difficult. Then i saw this.
The amp is built well. And the 6 watts is more than enough to use in the livingroom. I tried this amp on an orange cabinette with 2 celestion vintage 30's and a carvin cabinette which i put 4 eminence tonkers in. It sounded fantastic and clear through the whole range of volume and gain on both cabs. It doesn't seem to have a lot of distortion when cranked full, but then again i didn't buy it to use as that. I wanted an amp that was small and loud enough to practice on when not in the play room.
You can change the tubes in it to give it more of a brittish sound etc. I was surprised to find a tube amp for under 300 that you can use 4 or 5 different type of output tubes in without rebiasing, combined with an effects loop circuit, and a line out all in one.
I think it will be hard to find another tube amp in the 5 or 6 watt range with all that this has, and sounds so good for less than 300 let alone 5 or 600. Not to mention it even had a small foot pedal switch to take it in and out of boost mode.

VHT Lead Tube Guitar Amp, 40w Combo Review

Hello,
Purchased this item about 2 weeks ago, and what a mistake.
I've played many ams before, but this is one of the worst sounding amps ever.
The clean channel is horrible.
The overdrive channel is good, but when your playing different types of music in a band where you need clean and dirty this amp doesn't cut it.
The Celestion speaker sounds ok, but the VHT(Chinese made)speaker is complete crap!
I tried replacing the VHT speaker with a Jensen, it did sound better, but the clean channel is still terrible. Don't buy this amp for the clean channel for sure.
The idea of having two different types of speakers in it , is to get a clean sound and turining it up to allow the lesser wattage speaker to breakup, indeed it does but not like you want to hear it. All the tubes are made in China, and so is the amp.
Even though I purchased it for $299.99 less than what there currently asking for it, I still had to return it. The only thing is that you have to pay the return shipping, and at 86 lbs shipping weight it can get quite expensive.
Lesson leared!
When buying amps, buy Made in USA, yes they cost more and sometimes double but there is a difference, a big difference
Hope this helps with your decision
EO

Jet City Amplification JCA2112RC Guitar Tube Combo Amplifier Review

I've owned this amp for about 6 months and I love it. This amp is a straight-forward single channel rock and blues amp but you can get into heavy metal with a pedal. The distortion is creamy sounding- and distinctly different from other tube amps at this price point (Peavey Valveking, Bugera V22, Crate V16, Blues Jr.) Thank you Mr Soldano! Not a particularly versatile amp- but I think this amp was not intended to be a jack-of-all-trades. What it does do it does wonderfully. Twenty tube watts is plenty for small gigs and jamming with a drummer. The build quality is excellent. This is the JCA 20H head combined with the Eminence special design speaker with added reverb. The reverb is tube driven and sounds lush, but not surfy. I've heard that this is essentially a Chinese-built Soldano Astroverb 16. This amp LOVES humbuckers. I would buy it again and again. The price has come down since I bought it and I think it's a ridiculous bargain at this point. I would also buy their new 50 watt 2-channel combo however I just don't need that much power. I'm a fan of Jet City !

Epiphone 1958 Korina Flying-V Electric Guitar, Antique Natural Review

I gave this guitar only 4 stars because I have'nt pluged in in yet. It is still in Sam Ash music being set up. But I have played it unplugged. It plays very smooth. But, if you have small hands beware. Even though Gibson (on the phone)says the neck profile is not real chunky. It is. Not quite a baseball bat like a 1958 Les Paul, but very round and very close to it. That combined with a fairly wide finger board can spell disaster for those with tiny little hands and pinkys. I will try to updte in about a week or so.

Sparkling cleans and articulate distortion in a good looking package easily worth double the price, hat else could you want? Reverb! Besides that it is the best under 500. to my ear.
