I had never even played a Squire before, so I really didn't know what to expect from Fender's cheaper cousin... However, after the guitar arrived and I stretched out the strings enough for it to stay in tune, I was pretty blown away that you could get such a nice guitar for $229 and free shipping.
Everything about the guitar is pretty awesome. It looks and plays better than it has any right to. I can't speak for any of the other Squire models, but this thing is a steal. I really wouldn't feel bad having this as my main guitar. The sound is great and it's easy to play.
