I love that this product has no wires! The battery pack is integrated on the headset so you don't even have that belt pack. I use this product in my music classroom. It has been a savior for my voice in a room full of 100 band kids! I've seen this same unit used by aerobics instructors too. It's very versatile! Highly recommended!

Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic Series 4x10 Bass Enclosure Review

Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic Series 4x10 Bass Enclosure
Average Reviews:

I've been using Ampeg proucts for 35 years, this cabinet is a perfect example of classic ampeg sound. It has plenty of deep response and a horn driver that you can control to add highs. It's compact and powerful enough to accomodate any performance setting. It's constructed extremely well and can handle plenty of watts. It's the best 4x10 cabinet I've heard and used. You won't be dissappointed.

Ampeg SVT-410HLF: Versatile, High Fidelity Performance This is the speaker cabinet for the bass player who demands the ultimate in a single, compact cabinet setup. The SVT-410HLF delivers devastating low-end bass, all the way down to 28Hz, thanks to four 10" speakers working together to move a tremendous amount of air. The SVT-410HLF actually moves 10% more air than two 18-inch speakers, and 25% more than three 15-inch speakers. And those leviathans simply can't respond to transient peaks as quickly as four tens can.The SVT-410HLF also delivers superb top-end, thanks to its 1" horn driver, strategically crossed over at 4kHz. This is a favorite enclosure for such artists as Meshell Ndegeocello, John McVie of Fleetwood Mac, and Ricky Skaggs' bass player, Mark Fain.
The Ampeg SVT-410HLF: A Great Choice for Bass PlayersThe Ampeg SVT-410HLF is the supreme speaker enclosure for the multi-string bass player seeking both superior power handling and true high-fidelity performance.

Former Bass Player editor Scott Malandrone put the SVT in perspective this way: "The SVT has done for the sound of electric bass what the Marshall Super Lead had done for the electric guitar--it would give the instrument an identity."Ampeg Amps: Built to Be Worked HardAmpeg, (a division of Loud Technologies) is recognized world-wide as the premier name in bass and guitar amplification since the 1960's, when the SVT (Super Valve Tone) bass amplifier took the rock world by storm with its 300 watts, 8 x10" speaker cabinet and a tone that would go on to set the standard for rock and roll bass. Today, Ampeg continues on as the leader in professional bass gear and a cherished manufacturer of classic guitar amplifier designs with a continuing tradition of advancing bass tone through quality & innovation. Rode NTG2 Condenser Shotgun Microphone Review

Rode NTG2 Condenser Shotgun Microphone
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased the NTG-2 as a voiceover mic to use for audiobook production and VO recording. I'm running the mic through the preamps on an M-Audio ProjectMix I/O and into Pro-Tools M-Powered 8. I run the incoming signal through the Waves SSL Channel plugin for some light compression, and that's it. I rarely need to EQ.
The resulting tone is clean and clear without being too intimate. If I get too close, it tends to get a little boomy and the low-mid ranges are a touch muddy. However, if I position the mic about 12-18 inches from the mouth of the VO artist, and slightly above the axis of the mouth, the sound quality is stellar. On male voices, in particular, the mic lends a depth and warmth that is often desirable for certain types of voice work. As would be expected with a mic of this type, the proximity effect is fairly pronounced.
Being a shotgun mic, it does an excellent job filtering out much of the background noise if your space is not sound-proof. (For instance, I'm using a small booth in which one wall is an exterior wall with very little sound insulation. Even when cars and trucks drive by, the mic won't register the sound.) It's an excellent choice for small project studios in homes. The mic does a good job of not catching every single saliva slurp or tongue noise while keeping the voice sounding natural.
The included wind screen is a little on the wimpy side, and it's unfortunate that the mic doesn't come with a shock mount...but that's not uncommon for mics in this price range. Likewise, I wish the mic had come with a decent hard case rather than the pleather zippered pouch that comes with, but again, that's not uncommon in this price range.
I've used four very different mics for VO work: a Studio Projects C100 Large Diaphragm Condenser, an AKG C1000 small diphragm condenser, a Heil PR40 Large Diaphragm Dynamic, and the Rode NTG-2. I was using the Heil almost exclusively until I got the NTG-2. Now this is my first-call mic for 80% of my VO sessions. For the price, it really can't be beat for high-quality spoken word recording.
Pros:
* Great Mic for the Price
* Narrow Pickup Pattern to reduce noise
* Clean and clear tone
* Natural sound
Cons:
* Can get a little boomy in low-mid ranges if speaker is too close
* Pronounced proximity effect
* No shock mount/case included

Behringer PMP980S 900-Watt 10-Channel Powered Mixer Review

You guys are my heros. Right out of the box the Mixer showed its real colors. Set everything the way it should be and it worked like a champ in the studio. I can't wait to try it on a gig we have in a large building with about 800 people.
When this happens I will rewrite this and let you know.
Thanks for all you do.
Regards,
Jerry
I had a very good response out of this unit. My School reunion,very large room,seating 600+ so you know I had to be good in front of all my schoolmates
I used 4 mains with 1 monitor,a laptop,1 Cordless Mike,1 Wired Mike,all speakon cables and a light setup.
There was no squeals or Hums.In one of the reviews i read where the unit would pop real loud when turning on the power. This was solved by hooking the 2 speakon speaker cables to the unit last after the power was switched on.
This unit was every thing you would need as a DJ.I was very please and got lot of positive comments from everyone.Lots of hand shakeing and hugs saying fantastic job.
Very powerful and easy yo set up.
By the way: I got rebooked for the next reunion.
Thanks Amazon for everything,
DJ&J Entertainment

Sennheiser e835 Dynamic Vocal Microphone (3 Pack) Review

Sennheiser e835 Dynamic Vocal Microphone (3 Pack)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Hi there, I'm currently using a single Sennheiser e835 Dynamic microphone. It delivers professional quality sound. Now when you hear that, your thinking... it means whatever your mind wants it to mean. Basically when i say its got professional quality, i mean.. it'll suite you... for whatever you have to record. It does an amazing job for my podcasting studio delivering great variance between highs and lows. As long as your between 1-4 inches from the mic you will get amazing quality sound, everything outside that will be ignored. I often times have my tv going, my music playing or i'm having a conversation at the same time as having a podcast, and all i have to do is move the mic away from my mouth. The 10 year warrenty is very good, and the construction of this microphone screams nothing but quality. The Shure Sm57 and 58 havn't been changed since.. *cough* 1957 and 1958. In these last 40-50 years we've come up with a lot of better tech to go into a mic, this microphone hosts some of that. The cage on top is also much more durable than the Shure models. I believe i'll be happy to have this microphone for 10+ years.

Zildjian A Custom 20-Inch Sizzle Ride Cymbal Review

Zildjian A Custom 20-Inch Sizzle Ride Cymbal
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you've never played on a sizzle before it takes some getting used to because of the sustain. However, it is an essential sound in R&B and some jazz, especially for slower tempo using triplets.
This particular model sounds identical to my 30+ year old Avedis Zildjian 20" - even the sustain is the same. Do not expect a lot of definition from this (or any other sizzle) because they were designed for a drawn out washy sound with slightly less than moderate definition.
If you're unsure about getting a sizzle, a great compromise is the 19" Zildjian Armand Signature Ride (ASIN B0002GFNF4). That cymbal has a three-rivet cluster near the edge, but has higher definition and less sustain and wash. I have both the Armand and regular sizzle models, so there is a difference in tone and texture these cymbals produce.
