Warwick Corvette Standard Electric Bass (4 String, Natural Bubinga, Fretless) Review

(More customer reviews)I have been playing bass for over 30 years, and without a doubt this is one of the best Fretless Basses I have ever played. As soon as i sat down and started playing, I knew this is a very special instrument, even the clerk knew by the way i looked at him that i would be taking it home that day.
Using round wound strings the high end tones were remenicent of Jaco, and the Ebony finger board gave the feeling and sound of an upright bass. The only downside is the weight of the instrument, but other than that I can find nothing wrong with this bass.
The look of the bass is badass, it has the old school look, with dark wood body and the Ebony finger board, it is truly a Jazz bassist dream rig. I played some Jack Bruce licks from the Cream days and was able to dial in a very close sound.
If you can afford it, buy it! this bass is destined to become a classic collector for the superb sound and look of the instrument.

Warwick Thumb Bolt-On Neck Bass Guitar, ¹ Review

(More customer reviews)This bass is superb. I have had plenty of bass guitars, but the Thumb is undeniably the best performing instrument I've owned. Recently having upgraded from the Warwick Corvette, to the Thumb, one major detail that can't be left unsaid, is the weight. The Thumb is noticeably light (especially compared to the heavy Corvette). Even while being on a much higher plain quality wise, this instrument manages to stay paper-light. Believe it or not, I am writing this review a whole four years after my initial purchasing of the Thumb. I am happy to say, over the course of the last four years, I have had ZERO major problems related to this instrument. I highly suggest this guitar for any serious musician, and/or bass enthusiast. Not to mention, you will be hard pressed to not catch some desiring eyes wherever you unveal the thumb..

Schecter Stiletto Elite-5 Bass Guitar (5 String, See-Thru Black) Review

(More customer reviews)The Schecter Stiletto Elite bass is an outstanding instrument. Out of the box, it required only modest set up to make it playable. (I'm still taking it to my local luthier for a decent setup). I played it in a large-venue church setting this weekend, and the tonal quality was remarkable. The action was low and sleek; the bass almost played itself. The frets felts good and never got in the way. The finish is deep and rich, and the pictures just don't do it justice. The low B is the most tight and solid I've ever heard on any bass. Bottom line is this: Buy this bass, you won't be sorry.
