I used this case to take my guitar to Germany. I had 2 other bags so the wheels made my life so much easier. The case fit my 80's Epiphone to a T. Guitar made it there and back without a scratch! TRILLED with this purchase!

Dean Tradition S2 Solid Top Dreadnaught Acoustic Guitar, Gloss Natural Review

Dean Tradition S2 Solid Top Dreadnaught Acoustic Guitar, Gloss Natural
Average Reviews:

I have to preface this review with a comment on Amazon. At first, I was very upset when my guitar arrived, as it was a left-handed model, when I had ordered a right hand version. Amazon was great, sending out my replacement righty guitar NEXT DAY FedEx! I had barely sent back the left hand model when the righty arrived at my door step. Fantastic customer service from Amazon!Product: Dean Tradition S2, Gloss Natural
Price Paid: $110 (usually sells here for $225)
Sound: Sounds great! I was expecting a slight step up from other entry level guitars, but this sounds way better than I had figured it would. Very full deep sound from the solid spruce top.
Action/Playability: Very easy to play. It has taken me a few soungs to get used to the scale, as I had been using my daughters Jr. sized guitar, but once that was done, I have had no problems. The neck is straight and true, and the action is good.
Craftsmanship/Reliability: Very beautiful guitar. The tortoise binding gives this guitar an extra bit of class, and the wood is beautiful. As to reliability - I've only had it a short time, but it seems very solid.
Overall Rating: Five stars. I was hoping to get a nicer guitar than is typically available in my budget (I was planning to spend ~$125), and the sale on this Dean was just what I was looking for. Most in the lower price range are typically poorly made, or don't sound that good. Now, I can't say for sure that I would have bought this particular model if my budget had been $225, so maybe my review is a bit biased by the sale price I paid. Either way, I'm a very satisfied Amazon and Dean customer!

Taylor Guitars K24ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic Electric Guitar Review

Taylor Guitars K24ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic Electric Guitar

When it comes to pristine works of art such as this Taylor K24ce guitar, the price tag is rather meaningless. Guitar construction, sound quality, tone, depth, resonance, playability, setup, electronics interface, and any other aspect you can possibly imagine are all impossibly perfect. One of my favorite things to do with this guitar is to simply take it out of the case and become intoxicated by the smell of the Hawaiian koa wood for a while!!
This guitar is to musical instruments, what Bianca Beauchamp is to feminine beauty. Try your local Guitar Center. If you lay down cash $$$, they will knock a few hundred dollars off the price. I got mine for about $3,700 in a triumphant Wayne's World moment!!

Guild GAD-M20 Acoustic Guitar Natural w/ Deluxe Case Review

Guild GAD-M20 Acoustic Guitar Natural w/ Deluxe Case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is really a great guitar for someone who wants to check out a small bodied guitar or for someone looking to get into acoustic and being used to electric instruments. This guitar is all real wood. No particle board or laminates. Great for finger style guitar. It has a very balanced sound as is typical of instruments this size. This is not really a guitar for bluegrass flatpickers as they usually go for dreadnaughts. Personally, those guitars are too big for me and very "boomy."
I got mine new for 499.99 Great deal !!
I play this guitar daily and I have had it for over a year now. Other acoustics I have had were sold on ebay.

Silver Creek T-170 Acoustic Guitar Natural Review

Silver Creek T-170 Acoustic Guitar Natural
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I had just finished reading the book "Clapton's Guitar" so you may understand why I was blown away by an all-solid wood 000/OM acoustic guitar for next to nothing.
Thinking I would tell my wife it was for "market survey" all the while I was secretly drooling over what might arrive. (I'm in the building end).
Back and sides were a beautiful straight-grained Indian Rosewood.
The top is maybe an "A" grade Engelmann top and is punchy like Adirondac Spruce.
The inside bracing and kerfing are clean and sans glue squeeze out.
The backstrip, inside the box, is a very tight-grained Spruce and looks perfect.
Bridge is cleanly done.
The mahogany neck feels slightly boaty with a "V" shape but still very playable.
String spacing is generous and it's easy to hit all the notes.
The neck is stained dark and has a volute,
both Martin style. No buzzing but after the action is lowered it will need a neck adjustment or vice versa.
Peghead Inlay looks CNC'd and is perfectly done.
The finish is gloss and is very well done and polished without the usual wavy lines prevalent in cheap and poorly done high-end guitars.
The Tuners remind me of small Waverly's.. But!
Frets are cleanly done but could use a polish.
The action is too high and the saddle should be replaced with a
Martin Saddle seated flat into the bridge slot and intonated.
The nut seemed fine.
All in all, setup aside, this guitar is awesome with beautiful Tone!
and plenty of 000 vibe!
I was able to coax some very sweet notes from this guitar!
Even with the stock strings.
Now for the bad part: I should of bought two!
All this for "Market Survey"!
Someone has to do it!

Luna Muse Parlor Bubinga Acoustic Guitar Review

Luna Muse Parlor Bubinga Acoustic Guitar
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I own two of these wonderful solid-wood guitars and I think it's one of the best instruments out there for the costs and quality of materials. The Luna Muse Bubinga is a great small-size professional quality guitar.
It's hard to find a solid-wood (no fillers, no fake woods) guitar that still are hand-made as well. The sound is crisp and clean and surprisingly voices a nice full sound -- i.e. it sounds much bigger than its compact size. It's a great travel guitar and has electronics as well for when you need to plug it in. It makes a perfect starter guitar for young students but I've enjoyed it as well as a 20 year guitar player.
A quick internet search for good travel or starter guitars shows that this is one of the best buys out there and it's almost impossible to find a comparable guitar (low price and solid wood). You won't be disappointed if you get one of these!

Breedlove Passport C250/CO Guitar Review

Breedlove Passport C250/CO Guitar
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As a guitarist with a small budget for his purchases in guitars, I was thoroughly pleased with the Breedlove Passport C250/CO. For the past few years I've been using the Big Baby Taylor which itself has a wholesome sound due to its dreadnought body design. I was greatly surprised that the Breedlove Passport C250/CO, with its smaller body, could rival this depth in sound. The quality of the sound is superb, although I am not a fan of the strings that come with the guitar. The guitar itself is actually surprisingly heavy due to the dense wood used (Ovangkol). However, I am not displeased with the weight; it feels strong and sturdy rather than the thin wood used for the Big Baby Taylor I've used.
What must be said, however, is that the color in the picture of the guitar is deceptive! The guitar is actually much darker than the wood displayed in the picture. The ovangkol is also much darker, although the picture shows that the color seems to be light and the same color as the front of the guitar. Although this disappointed me a bit, it grew on me within the first few days.
Overall great quality guitar that I recommend anyone looking great sound quality for a reasonable price!
(OH, and if you plan to purchase this guitar, I suggest you add to your cart a sturdy case because I wouldn't trust the gig bag provided for my travels with this lovely Breedlove guitar! And while you're at it, add a nice strap because it doesn't come with one!)

Taylor Guitars Baby Taylor, BT2, Mahogany, Natural, Left Review

Taylor Guitars Baby Taylor, BT2, Mahogany, Natural, Left
Average Reviews:

This item is one of the best guitars I have seen in history, for one because of the sound, and for two because of the price. I'd predict that something this gorgeous should actually be priced at least towards the 1000 dollar mark, and look at what you're getting it for! It'll work for almost anything - a beginning guitar for the child or a travel guitar for the master. The only thing I have against it is the fact that it is difficult to find a pickup for this item. And I might even be wrong there - I haven't done much looking :). Maybe 3 minutes and 2 google searches, but that is all. Still, you'd think the manufacturer would let a pickup for this item jump out at you. Back to the beaten path, nothing beats this guitar. No other 3/4 size can do what this guitar can.

An alternate version of the original Baby Taylor substitutes a solid mahogany top, giving this 3/4-size Dreadnought a dark, attractive complexion and a mid-range boost.

The Baby Taylor Series The Baby Taylor is the ultimate travel companion, delivering volume and tone that surprise for its diminutive dimensions. At three-quarters the size of a full-sized guitar, the Baby Taylor lives for the road. It also loves little hands, which makes it an irresistible choice for kids taking lessons. Available with either a solid spruce or solid mahogany top.
Tropical American Mahogany Top Mahogany is supple enough to make excellent, responsive bodies, yet sufficiently strong and stable to use in necks. Mahogany produces a bright, clear tone, with a unique balance that yields an expressive dynamic range in response to even the lightest touch. This makes Taylor's 500 Series guitars especially popular with fingerstyle guitarists and blues players, and it gives this particular Baby Taylor great looks and a more pronounced mid-range.
Sapele Laminate Back/Sides This exceptional, mahogany-like wood grows throughout the tropical rain forests of Nigeria and the Ivory Coast of Africa. Ever since we introduced it in 1998, its legion of fans has grown exponentially. As a tonewood, it's denser and harder than mahogany, so it has a crisper, clearer, brighter, "pop"-ier sound than its more familiar counterpart. Loud and robust, with a lovely ribboned grain, sapele has been used by Spanish guitar makers for many years.
Dreadnought Body ShapeThe original Dreadnought acoustic guitar appeared early in the 20th Century, and its no-frills, no-nonsense shape made it a logical namesake of the huge battleships of that day. Most subsequent Dreadnoughts, including Taylor's, have been derivative of that early design. In 1997, however, Bob Taylor re-designed the Taylor Dreadnought by softening the curves at the top and bottom and generally refining its overall shape. In 2003, gloss-finish Dreadnoughts also underwent bracing refinements that substantially increased their overall volume and bass response, without sacrificing Taylor's signature balance and clarity. Dreadnought six-strings shine as "plectrum" or "rhythm" guitars because they respond well to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming.
Varnish FinishA durable varnish finish offers protection, good looks, and a smooth feel to the touch. The spruce top's beauty shines right through.

Taylor Guitars Baby Taylor, BT1, Natural Review

Taylor Guitars Baby Taylor, BT1, Natural

Not too shabby at all. It really has a wonderful sound for such a small guitar. No, it doesn't have the bass response of larger and even some cheaper full size guitars but it sounds clean and bright and does the job when a big sound isn't required. Regarding the size of the frets and playing it, it is of course smaller and sometimes some chords seem a little bunched but then on some chords it is easier to play. Just depends on the size of your hands. The size can be both a plus and a negative. A plus when traveling or playing on the couch or in bed. A negative when wanting a bigger sound but it's not designed for performance although in the right application can easily sound good enough for certain performances. The action is a tiny high out of the factory compared to many guitars and that might turn off new players but it could be worse so no big deal. I personally love it but my hands aren't huge and I don't require a big sound. Great guitar for kids to learn on for sure although cheaper ones could be found without the same quality. It may be small and cheaper (minor corners have been cut to save money in the building process) than some Taylor guitars but it is still a Taylor and it sounds like one too and that's a wonderful thing for this little guy! :) Btw, it comes with a nice tan colored Taylor gig bag made just for the baby Taylor. AND, if this guitar is too small for you but you still want quality in a slightly smaller package you might want to look at the 15/16th sized big baby Taylor or even some parlor guitars. Just a thought.

At a 3/4-scale, the Baby Taylor is the little Dreadnought that could. Taylor's ultra-portable travel mate belies its size with a sweet, full voice and great tone. It's remarkably versatile for special applications, whether played in alternate tunings or high-strung; with a capo or a slide. And it's the perfect starter guitar for young kids.

At three-quarters the size of a full-sized guitar, the Baby Taylor lives for the road. It also loves little hands, which makes it an irresistible choice for kids taking lessons. Available with either a solid spruce or solid mahogany top.
Sitka Spruce Top Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis) grows in a coastal "pocket" from Northern California to Alaska. This dense, straight-grained wood has the highest strength and elasticity-to-weight ratio among available tonewoods, an attribute that makes it an ideal material not only for our soundboards, but for our internal bracing, as well. Sitka produces a slightly brighter tone than does Engelmann.

I bought one of these two years ago from a local dealer and paid about $100.00 less. That said, it has very good tone and its smaller size lets you wrap yourself around it and really feel in control- Mine was well-made and sounds as good as acoustics costing a lot, lot more. I've shown it to professionals who were impressed with its quality and sound. Definitely a good choice not only for a beginner but for more advanced players, as well.

I chose this guitar for a few reasons; first and foremost being that it looks simple, yet its elegant. Secondly, I had the opportunity to play a similar model at a local music store and was very impressed by the tones, action, and playability of the instrument. Finally, everyone is looking for the guitar that "calls to them." This one just happened to be it for me.

Taylor Guitars did a really nice job on Taylor Swift's first signature model and the sound is really articulate for such a small guitar and would recommend highly and really like the fact that it has a solid spruce top and will get better as the guitar ages...Always wobndered why there where so many fans of the baby taylor line but this guitar can give you the sound of a dreadnought but in a much smaller size...like the fact it has an ebony fretboard and the silk screen rosette looks really good on the guitar and recommend this guitar for everyone..

Taylor Guitars Baby Taylor, BT2, Mahogany, Natural Review

A PERSONAL OPINION. The Taylor BT2 is a really nice guitar. I did not say The Taylor BT2 is a really nice little guitar. Why? We could talk about guitar size, shape, wood type, action, nut size, and acoustics but it is easier to just say, this guitar is very easy to play and sounds much bigger than it really is. I bought this guitar to carry to parties and family gatherings (I'm the lease musically talented in my family but I got guts) as I was getting tired of toting my big Ovation back and fourth. This little guitar with the big voice was just what I was looking for. Fact is, I messed around trying to buy a used Baby Taylor off eBay and found this guitar sells for $220 to $305 USED. Shoot, I bought a new one for $299. This is a very nice guitar and I am sure the model BT1 is good too; I just like mahogany better than spruce. I recommend this Baby Taylor to anyone as a first guitar or as in my case, a second.
