Behringer Ultrabass BB410 1200W 4x10 Bass Cabinet Review

Mostly, we have been conditioned into thinking the more expensive, the more better. Gear snobs have often turned their noses up at Behringer products and I don't know why. 90% of the time Behringer makes a product that sounds and performs just as good as equipment that costs hundreds more. Also, they have one of the best costumer services and everything they make is built rock solid. You can't tear this stuff up!
I've been on the market for a new bass cab (mostly a 4x10) for a while now. I've been researching and trying things out and I have come to the conclusion that with whatever I buy, the sound quality simply won't overcome the cost. The Behringer BB410 has a wonderful sound. It can handle way more power than your typical bass player will be carrying around, its 4 Ohms, can be linked with other cabs, and has both 1/4 and Speakeon inputs. It also has a horn that can be turned on and off, and honestly I find it is really low noise. Some cabs I've been trying I've found the horn to be too noisy and I have to turn it off but not the BB410. It is heavy and awkward to move around, but it still fits into the back of my car and I installed casters (instead of the little wheels coming off of the side) to make it easier to move. The speakers really bring out the punchy mid range I desire while keeping the bass low and booming. If you play slap/pop you will find your pops really cut through with that sharp percussive sound bass players tend to like. Playing in a cover band, I need really versatile equipment and this cab is it!
I have played through it with 4 or 5 heads (currently running the Eden E300 into it) and they all sound great! No matter how hard I play and I cannot get the speakers to distort out so it can handle all playing styles. Put high quality head through this thing and its winning.
Basically this is how I feel about this cab. If you aren't getting an Ampeg SVT, get this. If you aren't getting this, get an Ampeg SVT. If you aren't willing to shell out big money for an amazing Ampeg cab, you can be kind to your pockets and still get an excellent cab that will serve you well.

Kramer KS42MBBFN1 Striker FR-422SM Electric Review

After reading the previous review of this item I became nervous. There weren't alot of details on the ad, and the review writer said there were scratches and hardware missing so he returned the guitar. So, I was pleasently supprised when the guitar got here and was in the "as new" condition that was listed on the ad. Actually It was in better shape than most new floor models. For used it was in super shape. It was shipped with the trem. arm mounted and the thing was in tune when I opened up the superb packageing. AWSOME!!!
If the missing hardware mentioned in the review was the allen wrenches that werent in their mounting on the back of the head? A buck at Wal-Mart will buy you a full set. Problem Solved! I can't rave enough about this guitar and the seller.

Fender Artist Series Eric Johnson Stratocaster Electric Guitar 2-Tone Sunburst Maple Fretboard Review

Fender Artist Series Eric Johnson Stratocaster Electric Guitar 2-Tone Sunburst Maple Fretboard

I've been playing guitar for the past 37 years. Lots of electric for the first 10 and then recently (6 years ago) picked up the electric again. Since then I've gone through a Ibanez Musician, Fender American Deluxe Ash Strat, Gibson ES-339, Gibson ES-335, and finally this Eric Johnson Strat. I had the hardest time with my previous strat (wouldn't stay in tune, bad intonation, don't even think about touching the whammy bar or its way out of tune), and the Gibson's were just uncomfortable to play (after you cradle a strat with it's light weight and contour fit it is really hard to go back). I cannot put this guitar down. It stays in tune for months (I kid you not) and I play the crap out of it. I love the way you can dig into a strat or not (you hit it hard it's nasty, play it soft and its clean). The tone knobs affect the neck pickup and the bridge pickup (a much better use then the typical middle pickup tone knob on the typical strat). The volume is useable from position 1 to 10. The quartsawn neck just sustains for days. I can play this acoustically and hear the wonderful sustain. The pickups are nicely wound also to provide lots of sustain and a wide range of tones. The intonation is the best I have ever had. This is a jewel of a guitar. The nitro finish will age nicely too like the strats of old. This is basically a modified '57. The staggered tuners are a plus too (eliminates the string tree). These guitars are as good as most custom shop guitars at 3 times the price. Check these out if you get a chance.

Parker P-Series Pro Electric Guitar (Flame Top Honey Burst) Review

Parker P-Series Pro Electric Guitar (Flame Top Honey Burst)

This guitar has got it all from tone to looks. The pickups are incredible, very punchy crisp and clear. The Seymour Duncan 'Jazz' pick up is just great. The set-neck design provides improved ergonomics and absolutely incredible sustain. The two push pull selectors and tone knobs provide very wide tone selection. Its very easy to go from Strat to LP sound and everything in between.
The fretboard is ebony and is amazingly smooth and easy to play. The action was set just about perfect right out of the box.
The Premium hardware a guitar at this price point is hard to beat; the hardware is all US made however the guitar itself is assembled in Indonesia. Previous models were made in Korea, I kind of wish it would have stayed that way.
This is an incredible guitar for the money. However I do wish the quality control was a little better; one of my tone pots doesn't seem to be screwed in all the way.
Also worth noting the guitar comes with a nice Parker gig-bag.
4.5/5

Richmond Empire Electric Guitar, Cream Review

This is a fantastic guitar for the price. The fret work is some of the best I've ever seen, the nut is cut right, the neck feels super fast, the humbucker is smoking hot. The neck single coil tends to squeal a little, that's about the only complaint.
Oh, and the strap buttons are Schaller strap lock buttons. If you already have the Schaller strap locks on your strap, the strap will snap right on.
All in all, it's very well done for the price.
