(More customer reviews)i'm amazed by this instrument. the burst is much darker than shown on the photos, and that's a really good thing (it actually matches my epiphone les paul's colour!)
This thing sounds really great, and it's got a WHOLE LOT of volume! my parents tell me i have to go upstairs because of the volume!
there are absolutely no drawbacks on this thing!
if this thing was stolen, i would buy it again! and kill the person who stole it XD! nah, just kidding... ;)
i wouldn't get a backup for this thing. it feels rock-solid (when considering it's a hollow-body). but if i had to have a backup, i'd just order one more of these :D

(More customer reviews)I am not a guitar expert by any stretch of the imagination but I do like to goof around and play what I can figure out by ear. This guitar sounds bright. I like the built in tuner (battery is included) and have been impressed that it seems to stay in tune rather well - even after my less than stellar attemps at playing. Appreciating the looks of the guitar is subjective but I think it looks really slick. The inlays are done well. The pickguard did have very light scratches on it even though it was covered with a light adhesive protective cover. Not completely easy to see - but they are there. My guess is that they are the result of the manufacturing process. It is packed well from the factory and amazon prime service as usual was great.

Simon & Patrick Cutaway GT Folk Acoustic Electric Guitar - Cedar A3T Review

(More customer reviews)I've only had this guitar for a few days but I must say that I am thrilled with it so far. Okay, so it isn't a Martin. But it a very well-built Canadian guitar with fine fit and finish and an excellent sound. The cedar top gives it a warm, mellow sound right out of the box and the folk size of this model gives it the punch needed for finger-style guitar. It still sounds like an acoustic even when plugged in, which I appreciate. The action was right on the money when I received it and the only thing I did to it was to put on my favorite brand of strings. I wanted the laminate wild cherry back and sides for added structural support as an "all wood" guitar is a bit temperamental to humidity and temperature changes as well as being a little less rugged than laminates. The only thing I wish was different was to have the full body without the cutaway, but that is just me.
My other guitar is a dreadnought Art and Lutherie which, for me, is just a bit too big. So I'm very happy now with this folk-sized Simon and Patrick and hope to have it the rest of my days. Sounds good, looks good, and it's a good value for the money. To me, it doesn't get any better than that!
