(More customer reviews)I have owned one of the "XT" sunbursts for about 4 yrs. I bought it when I decided to get back into playing after a break of several years, and I didn't want to spend too much money. I recently decided that I was playing enough to upgrade to a Les Paul Studio. Well, to make a long story short, I have not yet played a Studio that would be worth trading this in. I had some set up issues at first, but the action, the tuning and the intonation have all been solved with the original hardware. I haven't even installed the DiMarzio bridge pickup that I bought for it. It sounds good, it plays nicely, and it stays in tune. I'll probably keep trying Gibsons, but I'll hold fire on the $800 upgrade until I find one that is actually better than the Hamer.
