Average Reviews: (More customer reviews)Although it is not inexpensive, I rate the quality of this Mandola as greater than its price. This is part of the professional hand made line of manodlins from Trinity College, and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the instrument when I received it. This mandola is just bheautiful: solid fine grained spruce top and solid roseww\ood back and sides. It plays and sounds great, and I am completely happy with it.
Average Reviews: (More customer reviews)This is my second mandolin; I was looking for an intermediate instrument to replace my beginner Oscar Schmidt. This mandolin has an ok sound and is fun to play. The details are quite striking and I am pleased with it. The only caution is the bridge comes separate and not installed, but it's easy enough to install one's self. I did a quick Internet search on "install mandolin bridge" and found several videos and presentations on how to do it took me about an hour to get the intonation and tuning correct using an electronic tuner. Update: I have been playing this mandolin for a year now and my left hand is beat! the action is too stiff and after an hour of hard play, the fingers are screaming for a break. it does sound best with Martin light strings.
