Received on third business day after ordering. Just out of the box the glossy Rosewood back and sides are very very impressive. It is light weight and very easy to hold and play. NO additional set-up required as far as I'am conserned. It has a loud crisp base and balanced treble sound. The bone nut and saddle give it a great sound. Action is low and easy to play. It sounds just as good through my acoustic amp. The 14:1 tuning keys hold the strings in tune and it is easy to treek the note when tuning. Would definately recommend you check this guitar out, as you may like it as well or better than guitars costing two or there times as much.

Blueridge BR-180 Historic Premium All-Solid East Indian Rosewood Dreadnaught Guitar with Abalone Purfling Review

I've been playing the guitar for over 50 years, from rock and roll to church music. And the BR-180 is the finest guitar I have ever owned. The workmanship is beautiful, and the tone has to be heard to be believed. The first time I heard one was a couple of years ago in Kentucky while on vacation. It was a bluegrass group, and as soon as they took a break I ran forward to ask the guitar player what kind of guitar he was playing. It was a BR-180. I've never heard another guitar with the tone of the BR-180, not even Martins or Taylors. As soon as I got home from vacation, I sold three of my other guitars and bought a BR-180. It will be the last guitar I ever buy, as I can't fathom that I'll ever find another one as good, especially considering that it is essentially a D-45 for 1/10th the price. Not to mention, I rarely play my other guitars now. Buy it!

Blueridge BR-43 Contemporary 000 Guitar Review

Blueridge BR-43 Contemporary 000 Guitar

I bought this guitar on "Black Friday", received it within a couple of days, and have enjoyed playing since then. It is a small 000 sized body, with mahogany back and sides (laminate) and bone nut and saddle (nice touch). Very comfortable thin style neck. While no one is going to mistake it for a Martin, it's an excellent player, was set up well right out of the box, and is a terrific guitar for just picking up on the spur of the moment. I replaced the strings with a set of Elixer medium-light (slightly heavier wound strings), which helped bring out the bass a bit more. Someday I'll likely replace it with a Martin, etc., but for now it's a terrific "couch" guitar that gets picked up and played a lot.
