Fender American Select Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar Crimson Red Transparent Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)This guitar was originally called the "Mahogany Special" as the body is made from mahogany wood versus the ash or alder materials of more common strats. This machine is a beauty both in form and to play. The crimson color is flawless with its cellulose lacquer finish. The neck has a rosewood top layer with the peg head finished in a "smart" black veneer, which matches the pick guard. The stainless hardware is polished to a high luster. Overall the appearance is fabulous - the best dressed strat I've ever seen. The guitar plays smooth. The neck has a "fuller" feel with the rosewood laminate and seems to make it easier to slide up and down the frets. The humbucker provides a deep rich sound close to a Les Paul, but brighter. I have an American Standard, but when I saw this machine I had to have one - I traded in a Les Paul Standard and don't regret it one bit.
